Aerogramme hook up with Matador for US distribution
20 July 2001

Scottish downtempo melodramaticists Aerogramme, whose work reminds us a bit of Taste, the 1989 debut by The Telescopes (that’s a good thing), have recently hooked up with Matador for US distribution of their forthcoming debut album A Story In White. They remain with Glasgow’s Chemikal Underground records for the UK.
The new set will appear on both sides of the Atlantic in September, preceded by a UK only release for their four song White Paw EP on 20 August. The EP includes album track Zionist Timing along with three non-LP tracks.
Here’s the full track listing for A Story In White: The Question Is Complete, Post Tour Pre Judgement, Egypt, Hatred, Zionist Timing, Sunday 3:52, Shouting For Joey, A Meaningful Existence, Descending, and Will You Still Find Me.
Aerogramme (guitarist/vocalist Craig B, who amicably left Ganger in 1999; bassist Campbell McNeil; and drummer Martin Scott) open for Frank Black And The Catholics on 6 August at The Liquid Rooms for Edinburgh’s T @ The Fringe Festival, and play dates with The Dirty Three and Idlewild next month as well. | Aerogramme on Chemikal Underground | | Zionist Tming (full length RealAudio) | | Post Tour, Pre Judgement (full length RealAudio) | | Aerogramme on See-Through Records | | top of page |
