Le Tigre to play Michigan Womyn’s Fest; reveal new LP

Chicago-New York techno/ punk/ pop/ feminist trio Le Tigre have signed on to play next month’s Michigan Womyn’s Music Festival, which runs 7-12 August near Walhalla in northern Michigan with camping on 650 private acres adjacent to a national forsest.
    Besides music, the annual event offers a wide range of workshops, childcare, and a week long film festival.
    Also playing the Michigan Womyn’s Music Festival will be Jill Sobule (who recently toured with Lloyd Cole’s new band The Negatives), Dar Williams, Amy Ray & The Butchies, Isle Of Klezbos, Ubaka Hill And Shapeshifters, and many others.
    Le Tigre play a few more US dates in August—see below for a list—and plan to tour extensively this fall around the release of their second full length.
    Their new record, Feminist Sweepstakes, hits the street in North America on 16 October. More details as we get ’em. Here are Le Tigre’s upcoming show dates
