Garland Buckeye announce details for 2nd album
16 July 2001

Lexington, Kentucky rock trio Garland Buckeye—led by singer/ songwriter/ multi-instrumentalist Adam Trumbo—and, we’d say, one of the great undiscovered treasures of American rock—have announced details for their forthcoming second full length. Titled More Seas Than Before, the 14 track set is due September on Lexington indie Hello Records—three years on from the band’s well received if somewhat obscure debut, Never Your Fable Caster.
Garland Buckeye, who sound on the new album like some manic chimera of Swell Maps, The Damned, and Robyn Hitchcock And The Egyptians, recorded the new album at Spray Studios in Lexington with Otto Helmuth (front man for The Blueberries). Jack Endino (Nirvana, Mudhoney, L7, Zen Guerilla, Murder City Devils) mixed and mastered the set in Seattle.
Tracks on the LP are From Atop Your Suitcase, Inside Trick, Crime Payments, #4 Response, Hammocks Are Hung, Attest, Comfort Is Not A Spell, Going To The Park, Navigations, Connecting Dotted Lines, System Central, Single Flash, E Or J, and Packin’ To Stay.
We’ll bring you a full review closer to the release date. | Garland Buckeye | | GB on Hello Records | | career pitching stats for the real Garland Buckeye | | top of page |
