Reunited Eric’s Trip set Canada tour dates (update)
13 July 2001

UPDATE (original story 10 July) As Rockbites first reported four weeks ago, reunited Moncton, New Brunswick noise pop quartet Eric’s Trip will tour Canada later this summer. The band have just announced the dates—see below.
For the tour—which they are careful to point out is a one time get together and not a reunion—the members are each taking breaks from their current projects: Elevator, Moonsocket, Purple Knight, and Julie Doiron from her solo career. Although the band were on Seattle based Sub Pop Records, dates are scheduled for Canada only.
If you make it to a show you’ll be able to pick up their newly mastered live album The Eric’s Trip Show, out on Toronto based Teenage USA Records (Elevator’s label, and Canadian home for Peaches). The set will hit stores 7 August and includes tracks from a half dozen shows covering a span of five years:

Past shows represented on the forthcoming live LP
Kacho in Moncton, NB - September 1991
Flamingo in Halifax, NS - 17 May 1992
Café Campus in Montréal, PQ - 24 January 1994
'somewhere in sourthern Ontario' - November 1995
Brownies in New York city, NY - 7 May 1996
Maxwell’s in Hoboken, NJ - 9 May 1996

Most shows on the upcoming Eric’s Trip hello again/goodbye forever tour will be with Winnipeg four piece Projektor, whose 2001 debut CD Red Wolf Glass is out on Endearing Records for North America and Shell Shock Records for the UK. See their Web site for ordering info and a free MP3.
