Tortoise release limited edition EP

The “tour only” CD-EP sold this past spring by Chicago experimental jazz-rock quintet Tortoise on their North American tour is now available in very limited quantities from online retailer Insound, and directly from the band’s label Thrill Jockey.
The disc, titled Gently Cupping The Chin Of The Ape, includes two previously unreleased songs, Waihopai and Peering; the video to Seneca, a song which appeared on the band’s February 2001 album Standards, their fourth full length; a live track from their 1998 tour of Australia and Japan; and a recent studio rehearsal version of another track. | Tortoise on Thrill Jockey | | Tortoise on Brainwashed.com | | Insound.com | | discography | | top of page |
