Daniel Johnston to release new studio LP 10 July 2001 In 1999 he released a very limited edition of a new studio album, Rejected Unknown. Produced by Brian Beattie (The Dead Milkmen, Glass Eye), Rejected Unknown was Johnstons first full length since his 1993 major label debut Fun. The set has been available in limited supply from various outlets including Leicester, Englands Pickled Egg Records. This October will see wide distribution of the LP on New York indie Gammon Records, recently founded by folks from eMusic and Which? Records. The enhanced CD version of Rejected Unknown will include an animated video for the album track Devinare plus liner notes by journalist Irwin Chusid. Like the sets packaging, the video features drawings by Johnston. Johnstons music also appears on the Which?
