Queens Of The Stone Age Web chat from Australia
9 January 2001
image
Back in August, southern California neo metal collective Queens Of The Stone Age walked away with the Best International Newcomer honor at the annual Kerrang! Awards ceremonies in London. Then last month UK music mag NME named their Rated R the best album of the year. The band will be on hand in Melbourne 30 January for a live Web chat at Undercover, with start time to be announced on the site. To tune in you’ll need your Internet hookup plus Windows Media Player software.
On 19 January QOTSA play the second weekend of the massive Rock In Rio—For A Better World benefit concert (playing that day with Iron Maiden, Sepultura, Halford, Pavilhão 9, and Sheik Tosado) before heading to Australia to catch up with the Big Day Out tour. Their Rock In Rio date is forcing them to miss the Aukland, New Zealand and Gold Coast, Australia shows of the tour. Also playing this year’s Big Day Out are Coldplay, Carl Cox, The Go-Betweens, Happy Mondays, Rammstein, PJ Harvey, Placebo, Roni Size With Reprazent, and several other artists. | Queens Of The Stone Age | | Radio Undercover | | Rock In Rio | | Big Day Out | | bio | | discography | | top of page |
