31 January 2001
image
Berlin based electronica minimalist Marc Weiser, who along with video artist Lillevaen is known as Rechenzentrum (English: data processing center), released his debut, self titled album last year worldwide on Kitty-Yo/EFA Caroline. The 12-track set of hypnagogic soundscapes follows a series of compilations and EPs released over the past three years, as well as work producing such acts as Tarwater, Laub, and Elektronauten. Weiser also co-organizes Berlin’s annual Club Transmediale international music/ media festival, and sings for his other band Le Hammond Inferno.
You can listen to the entire Rechenzentrum debut album online at Belgium’s Atrecordings, while Kitty-Yo Records offers the leadoff track as a free downloadable MP3 file (check our links).
