Blueline Medic’s first US release & tour

The seed of Australian high energy guitar act Blueline Medic materialized about two years ago in Melbourne as a trio of musicians from area bands: Donnie Dureau on guitar & vocals from Caustic Soda, Adrian on guitar from Mid Youth Crisis (aka One Inch Punch, aka Downfall), and David on bass from The Bradshaw Figure. Just last summer they added Chirpy (Pollyanna, Knieval, Rail, Mars Bastards, etc.) on drums and christened themselves Blueline Medic.
    The quartet have released one four-track EP in Australia, Working Title In Green. It’s been available for the rest of the world as an import. This week Gainseville, Florida’s Fueled By Ramen records released the EP for the US. Tracks are Plight 217, Shopping With A Cartesian, Swan Song Swan Dive, and Where You Are.
    Next Friday the band start a fourteen date southeast US tour supporting The Impossibles. They’ll also record their debut LP this year (not yet titled) with producer Jay Robbins (Jawbox, The Dismemberment Plan, Jets To Brazil, The Promise Ring) at Inner Ear studios west of Washington, DC in Arlington, Virginia.
