TRS-80 play midwest shows, ready second album
15 January 2001

Chicago drum & synths trio TRS-80 (Jay Rajeck on drums, Deb Schimmel and Kent Rayhill on keyboards and samples) play some rare out of town gigs next month in Missouri and Minnesota as they finish up their second (not yet titled) album. They haven’t announced a track listing or release date for the followup to last year’s excellent The Manhattan Love Machine (check out our mini-review in our 2000 end-of-year list), but we’ll get those details to you as soon as possible.
They’re also playing a show this week on the 18th at their usual haunt, Chicago’s Empty Bottle. The triple bill features TRS-80 along with fellow windy city experimentalists The Shiv and La Makita Soma.
Here are the upcoming TRS-80 dates

January
18 - Chicago (Empty Bottle, with The Shiv and La Makita Soma)

February
3 - Kansas City, MO (The Hurricane)
9 - Minneapolis (The Walker Art Center)
