Death By Chocolate release debut LP
10 January 2001
image
UK electrobubblegum surrealists Death By Chocolate release their self-titled debut album on 23 January worldwide on New York city based Jetset records. Led by singer Angela Faye Tillett (by day a chambermaid from Clacton-On-Sea), the band add some comic relief to Jetset’s edgy and rather heavy roster (Arab Strap, Spoozys, Black Box Recorder, Mogwai, The Go-Betweens...).
Info on DBC and on the new album is scarce, but we do have some song titles for you: The Land Of Chocolate, A B & C [the title to an episode of The Prisoner], The Salvidor Dali Murder Mystery, My Friend Jack, The LS Bumble Bee [Dudley Moore], If You Want To Sing Out [from Harold And Maude], and Who Needs Wings To Fly? [the Flying Nun theme]. | Death By Chocolate on Jetset | | The Land Of Chocolate (MP3 clip) | | CD | | top of page |
