DJ Assault touring US with The Detroit Grand Pubahs

28 year old Detroit post-jungle, ghetto-tech/booty music pioneer DJ Assault (born Craig Adams) combines 10-second tracks at 300 beats per minute with hard-core, sometimes bitter, and often silly pornographic lyrics. He also plays more traditional techno/hip-hop.
    Extraordinarily popular in his hometown and world techno capital Detroit, Michigan, Assault is on a major US tour now with The Detroit Grand Pubahs aka Paris the Black Fu & Andy (Dr. Toefinger) Toth. They opened last night at The Blind Pig in Ann Arbor and continue through early April.
    Picking up the explicit-lyrics torch from such artists as 2 Live Crew and Tupac Shakur, DJ Assault joins a worldwide trend of technoporn carried forward by women as well as men, whites as well as blacks, including Canadian techno artist Peaches; Brighton, England’s Lolita Storm; and Philadelphia’s The Smut Peddlers.
    DJ Assault’s recent 83-track LP Off The Chain For The Y2K came out this past October on Detroit indie Intuit-Solar. Here are the DJ Assault/Detroit Grand Pubahs tour dates
