The Kingsbury Manx finish second album
7 February 2001

Chapel Hill, North Carolina’s lush yet minimalist acoustic quartet The Kingsbury Manx have finished recording their second album for Berlin based City Slang records. Brian Paulson (Slint, Archers Of Loaf, Wilco, Son Volt) produced the not yet titled set, expected to be released this summer. A spokesperson describes it as reminiscent of The Beach Boys, Pink Floyd, and Palace.
The Kingsbury Manx have just doubled the length of their upcoming US tour, which now starts 23 February in Seattle and runs though the end of March with a closer in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The last several dates will be supporting the upcoming Stephen Malkmus & The Jicks tour. Malkmus (former front man for Pavement) releases his self titled solo debut next week worldwide. | The Kingsbury Manx on City Slang | | tour dates | | Stephen Malkmus tour | | discography | | sample | | top of page |
