Female experimental pop reissues from Germany 5 February 2001 Miasma was the duo of Ms. Gut along with Banff, Canada native Myra Davies, who among other things has spent time as a union organizer, classical ballet producer, lawyer, and a mentor to seminal experimental noise band Skinny Puppy. Moabit has just signed on with Brussels based online retailer Atrecordings.com, which is very good news for those of us unfamiliar with these records: besides making the Moabit releases more easily available, Atrecordings posts all their albums online in high quality, streaming RealAudioin full, not just clips. The current Moabit catalog offers eight releasescheck their Web sitefour of which are up on Atrecordings: Kaltes Klares Wasser by Malaria (a song from which, by the way, is currently charting in Europe as a remix featuring Chicks On Speed and Barbara Morgenstern), Ecoute by Matador, and Miasma and Miasma 2 by Davies and Gut. | Moabit on Atrecordings.com | | Moabit | | Monika Enterprises | | top of page | |
