plastiq phantom to play live on NPR’s Talk Of The Nation
15 February 2001

Electronica/ambient artist and producer plastiq phantom (aka 'qp') grew up in southern California but now calls Seattle home. He released his debut album Enjoy The Art Of Lying Down a couple of weeks ago on Sweet Mother Recordings. It is not yet easy to find; we’ll update this story when we can give you ordering info.
Next Thursday (22 Feb) plastiq phantom will perform live on National Public Radio’s Talk Of The Nation show. Check your local listings. Playing with him will be Jeremiah Green, drummer with Washington state quirk pop trio Modest Mouse.
And starting this Saturday plastiq phantom will play a few west coast US and Canada dates, some with a variety of interesting guests including Diagram Of Suburban Chaos, Aspects Of Physics, The Snodgrass, and DJ John Goff.
You can hear some of plastiq phantom’s more dissonant work on the recent album by northwest US duo Tagging Satellites, whose album you can get direct from their Web site. | plastiq phantom | | Tagging Satellites | | Sweet Mother Recordings | | top of page |
