Har Mar Superstar, The Strokes intersect in US on world tours

St. Paul, Minnesota neo funk/soul solo artist Har Mar Superstar (Harold Martin Tillman) will be joining rising stars/Velvets incarnate The Strokes as the two artists intersect in the US for about a week of dates on simultaneous world tours. The retro double show will reach the northern, southern, and western US but will miss the northeast.
    It’s an interesting pairing. While The Strokes’ debut LP Is This It, released in September, is at or near the top of many 2000 best-of lists and is out on major label BMG/RCA, Har Mar Superstar’s self-titled 2000 debut is on Olympia indie Kill Rock Stars and he has yet to capture the attention of the hype machine. The joint tour may perhaps be his big break.
