The Fog signs to Ninja Tune for new single next month
18 December 2001

The Fog, aka 22 year old St. Louis Park (Minneapolis area) DJ/futurist Andrew Broder, has signed to London indie label Ninja Tune to release a new single next month titled Pneumonia. It follows his 2000 self-released, self-titled debut LP (on the Dinkytown imprint), which we’re hoping may see general release next year by Ninja Tune. Penumonia, in fact, is one of the tracks from that album.
Broder has another musical project called Cropduster, and is known around the Twin Cities as a former member of punk band Shampoop. His music as The Fog is hard to find, in part because there’s a death metal band by the same name. Some retailers (including CDnow) apparently can’t tell the difference.
His Pneumonia single is due in North America on CD and vinyl on 22 January, and in the UK on CD the day before. | sample from debut LP (RealAudio) | | Ninja Tune | | top of page |
