14 December 2001

Seattle punk quintet Pretty Girls Make Graves (named after a 1984 Smiths song), who have so far come out with but a single three-song EP, have been riding high on the heritage of their members: Murder City Devils/Death Wish Kids bassist Derek Fudesco on bass and vocals; vocalist Andrea Zollo, also from Death Wish Kids and The Hookers; drummer Nick DeWitt of DeWitt Bros. and Bee Hive Vaults; guitarist Nathan Johnson, also from Bee Hive Vaults; and guitarist/vocalist Jason Clark from Kill Sadie and Sharks Keep Moving.
They’ve been in the studio on and off since late November recording their debut mini-album with Phil Ek, best known as producer for Built To Spill. It’s now slated to show up on Lookout! Records sometime in April. Several of the tracks will also come out as singles between now and then. | Pretty Girls Make Graves | | top of page |
