The Herbaliser to release new LP in spring
13 December 2001

UK jazz/hip-hop/funk experimentalists The Herbaliser (formed 1995 and led by Jake Wherry and Ollie Teeba) have finished a new album to be released in the spring on Ninja Tune. The label says they’ve already worked out the singles, and have in fact released a promotional double 12" for general purchase.
The promo, like the forthcoming LP, bears the title Something Wicked This Way Comes. Tracks on the promo are Verbal Anime, It Ain’t Nuttin, Time 2 Build, and Distinguished Jamaican English. All track versions appear to be different than what will make it onto the album. You can pick up the promo directly from Ninja Tune’s online UK and US shops—check our link.
The Herbaliser, with a full 10-piece band, will play the Dedbeat 2002 weekender festival 22-24 February at the Vauxhall Holiday Park in Great Yarmouth (Norfolk), England. Also playing will be Blackalicious, People Under The Stairs, New Flesh, The Puppetmastaz, and many other. | The Herbaliser | | Ninja Tune | | Promo double 12" | | Dedbeat | | top of page |
