Former Braid front man Christopher Broach’s current project, Chicago four piece The Firebird Band, recently finished a south and west coast US tour with The Mercury Program and Pocket For Corduroy. Now New York based international Webcaster the Digital Club Network (DCN) has posted two earlier archived concerts for free viewing online. The shows are from 3 January 2001 at Brownies in New York city and 21 December 2000 at Chicago’s Metro.
The Firebird Band’s evolving lineup currently includes Broach on vocals, guitar, keyboards, and drum machine; Andy Hawthorne (Pilot In Hiatus) on guitar and backing vocals; Steven J. Lamos (American Football) on drums, keyboards, and drum machine; and Ben Wilson (Back Of Dave) on bass and keyboards.
They released their debut album Setting Sun And Its Satellites a year ago. A limited edition red vinyl version came out in March. | The Firebird Band | | Firebird Band on DCN | | discography | | top of page |
