Slumber Party release 2nd album, post MP3 28 August 2001 Last year Alan McGees Poptones label (which he formed after selling Creation to Sony) picked up the bands debut for UK distribution. We expect theyll do the same for Psychedelicate later this year. The new LP follows Slumber Partys self titled debut by precisely one year, give or take a day. The band recorded it this spring at Detroits Ghetto Recorders studio with producer Jim Diamond (The White Stripes, The Von Bondies, Stroker Ace, The Go). Tracks are Bag Of Spiders, Never Again, Soldier, Everyone Else I Know, My Little One, Heroes And Zeros, Youve Gone Too Far, Im Not Sad, Sometimes, I Never Dreamed, and Depression Is Best. Slumber Party play the CMJ Music festival on 15 September at North Six in Brooklyn, New York for a KRS showcase with Bangs, C Average, and Tight Bros From Way Back When. The gals then hit the road for a major US tour 22 October to 16 November, with venues to be announced. Stay tuned.
