Classic mini-LP by Heavenly reissued
27 August 2001

Oxford, England ’80s into ’90s twee pop icons Heavenly, previously known as Talulah Gosh, disbanded when drummer, co-founder, and songwriter Matthew Fletcher committed suicide on 14 June 1996. The surviving members, including Fletcher’s sister (TG co-founder and vocalist) Amelia, went on to form Marine Research.
Tomorrow, Olympia, Washington indie label K Records will reissue Heavenly’s debut mini-LP, Heavenly Vs. Satan. The new version includes six bonus tracks, the A and B sides from three singles from the same era (circa 1990): I Fell In Love Last Night, Over And Over, Our Love Is Heavenly, Wrap My Arms Around Him, She Says, and Escort Crash On Marston Street.
The new disc is the first domestic North American release of Heavenly Vs. Satan. If you buy it direct from K Records, for a limited time they’ll include a free Heavenly or Marine Research 7" vinyl single. Check their site for details. | Heavenly on Twee Kitten | | Marine Research | | K Records | | bio | | discography | | CD | | top of page |
