Astralwerks partners with Naked Music for reissue series
21 August 2001

Eclectic New York city indie label Astralwerks has announced a major partnership with NYC/SF dance/electronic imprint Naked Music. Astralwerks says it’s “...the first time in its eight-year history” that it has “teamed up with a domestic label for marketing and distribution.”
Astralwerks has previously partnered with non-US entities including UK label Melankolic (founded by Bristol band Massive Attack) and German indie Groenland (who this year reissued the three original Neu! albums).
First up for the Naked Music/Astralwerks collaboration will be a joint reissue of five dance compilation LPs on 2 October. Then on 22 January the pair will release Naked Music’s very first album length, single-artist disc, under the banner Blue Six—a lounge/R&B/deep house project of Naked Music co-founder Jay Denes. Also planned for 2002 are LPs by Miguel Migs aka Petalpusher, Lisa Shaw, and more to be announced. | Astralwerks | | Naked Music | | Blue Six on Epitonic | | top of page |
