Eric’s Trip hello/goodbye tour reframed, expanded
2 August 2001
image
As previously noted, Moncton, New Brunswick noise pop quartet Eric’s Trip—who disbanded five years ago—will tour Canada starting 13 August before abandoning the band forever. We’ve been posting dates as their label has announced them but several have just changed. The big news is for folks in Newfoundland: the band are working on securing a gig there for 9 September.
For the tour, the members are each taking breaks from their current projects: Elevator, Moonsocket, Purple Knight, and Julie Doiron from her solo career. Although the band were on Seattle based Sub Pop Records, dates are scheduled for Canada only.
If you make it to a show you’ll be able to pick up their newly mastered live album The Eric’s Trip Show, out on Toronto based Teenage USA Records (Elevator’s label, and Canadian home for Peaches). The set hits stores next Tuesday and includes tracks from a half dozen performances covering a span of five years.
Most dates on the upcoming Eric’s Trip hello again/goodbye forever tour will be with Brampton, Ontario’s Moneen, whose released their debut LP The Theory of Harmonial Value last month on their own lable Hornby Records; and with Winnipeg four piece Projektor, whose 2001 debut CD Red Wolf Glass is out on Endearing Records for North America and Shell Shock Records for the UK.
Here are the updated Eric’s Trip dates (still subject to change)

August
