Farm Aid releases last few tickets for 2001 show 15 August 2001
Tickets for the benefit event, which went on sale last Saturday, sold out to the general public in just four days. But organizers today released a few tickets for sale by phone to those who know to call (+1) 800-FARM-AID. You can get them at this number, while they last, through Friday. Prices are US$70, $55, and $35 and include all fees and parking. You can also call (+1) 800-FARM-AID at any time to make a tax deductible donation to the Farm Aid foundation. Playing this year’s benefit are Neil Young, Willie Nelson, John Mellencamp, and Dave Matthews (solo), plus additional artists to be announced. In its 16th year (although this concert is the 14th), Farm Aid has collected and distributed more than US$16 million “...to raise public awareness about the plight of the American family farmer and to provide assistance to those families whose livelihoods depend on agriculture.” US cable channel Country Music Television (CMT) will carry the concert live, as they have for the past three years. | Farm Aid concert | | Farm Aid organization | | Willie Nelson | | top of page | |
