Seamonster¹ hook up with City Slang, post MP3s
1 August 2001

Swedish electronic/noise/psych duo Seamonster¹ recently submitted a demo to Berlin indie City Slang Records, who were so taken with what they heard that they posted not one but an unprecedented two MP3 files for their monthly MP3 club. The tracks—one instrumental, one with vocals—are labeled simply '1' and '2'; both are stunning in their musical confidence, simplicity, and originality. They’re available now for download with a free sign-up at City Slang through the end of August.
The band, about which we don’t know much, have released three extremely limited edition discs on Swedish label Amphibient Broadcasting: Reality Check, You May Unfasten Your Seatbelts, and Tsunamin Audio Prism.
Seamonster¹ have a couple of upcoming festival appearances. At the end of August they’ll play Festivalex in Säljeryd, Sweden; and at the end of November the Fest I Valen in Norrköping. | City Slang Records | | Seamonster | | top of page |
