Low + The Czars Live Webcast from Denver
6 April 2001
image
Tomorrow evening (Saturday, 7 April) US Webcaster the Digital Club Network will present a live streaming feed from the Bluebird Theater in Denver for a performance by Duluth, Minnesota slo-core trio Low. Denver quartet The Czars will open.
Low are on a major US/European tour supporting their February album Things We Lost In The Fire, produced by Steve Albini (Pixies, Slint, Rapeman). They recently collaborate with Dirty Three on an EP to be released on Dutch label Konnkurrent Records (to be available Stateside on Touch & Go) sometime over the next couple of months.
The Czars most recent album, Before... But Longer, came out last May on Bella Union, the London based label run by Simon Raymonde and Robin Guthrie of the late Cocteau Twins; Raymond produced and mixed the album. The Czars release a new album this July, also produced by Raymond, and have just released a few songs on a compilation disc from Toronto-based Absalom Recordings, available only from the label’s Web site. The disc is the first in Absalom’s new limited edition 3-inch mini CD subscription series (still available as of this writing). | Digital Club Network (Webcast) | | Low | | The Czars | | top of page |
