Pollen disband after eight years
26 April 2001

Tempe, Arizona power pop quintet Pollen have announced that they are going their separate ways after eight years and two full-length releases. It seems to be more of a fade away than a burn out. Preceding Chip, their 2000 album on Fueled By Ramen records, Pollen had laid low for a couple of years; no touring, no new music. Now the members say they are just getting on with being adults, pursuing families and careers.
Fans can look forward to one more Pollen track, to be released on a forthcoming Fueled By Ramen sampler consisting entirely of previously-unreleased songs. And while the band have cancelled their April/May US west coast tour with Stryder, they’ll play one final gig at Nita’s Hideaway in Tempe on 25 May. | Pollen | | Fueled By Ramen | | discography | | top of page |
