Bardo Pond tour UK, Europe supporting new album

The eagerly awaited new album by Philadelphia noise experimentalists Bardo Pond appears next week, a couple of months beyond the February date announced in December. A veritable wall of psychedelic dream sound, Dilate is their seventh LP and the fourth on Matador Records. Songs are Two Planes, Sunrise, Inside, Aphasia, Favorite Uncle, Swig, Despite The Roar, Ib, Hum, and Ganges.
    Bardo Pond will tour the UK and Europe starting 7 May in Utrecht, the Netherlands, running through the 19th with a closer at the Toynbee Hall Theatre in London. All dates except the last will be supporting Scottish post-rockers Mogwai; the London show will be with Quickspace.
    (Mogwai precede the European tour with three dates in Japan starting 25 April. Their new album Rock Action comes out next week for North America.)
    Meanwhile, Bardo Pond side project Prarie Dog Flesh are just about ready to release their debut CD in a limited edition of 1,000, available directly from Bardo Pond’s label Three Lobed Recordings.
