G. Love & Special Sauce hit road for new LP

Philadelpia electric blues/hip-hop trio G. Love & Special Sauce (Garrett Dutton aka G. Love, vocals, guitar, harmonica; Jeff Clemens, drums; Jim Prescott, upright bass) return with a new album on 24 April titled Electric Mile. It is their fifth, and the first since 1999’s Philadelphonic. Guest musicians include percussionist Billy Conway (ex Morphine) and keyboards player John Medeski (Medeski, Martin & Wood). The first single will be the track Unified, co-written with Ras of the Long Beach Dub All-Stars.
    The official G. Love & Special Sauce Web site, hosted by Okeh/Epic parent label Sony, has posted audio clips of all the songs from Electric Mile for free download in Windows Media or .wav format.
    Special Sauce are hitting the road on album release day for a 26-date US tour. On 1 May in Philadelphia and on 3 May in Cincinnati the show will include a solo performance by former Soul Coughing frontman Mike Doughty, on an east coast/midwest US tour of his own that runs through 12 May.
