The Preston School Of Industry sign to Matador, readly LP
11 April 2001

Pavement founder Scott Kannberg (aka Spiral Stairs) has been playing select dates around the US with his new band The Preston School Of Industry, opening for, among others, Mogwai and The White Stripes. They also played at this year’s Noise Pop San Francisco festival, and at Austin’s South By Southwest.
TPSI are just about ready to release a CD-EP/10" vinyl on Kannberg’s own Amazing Grease Records, to be followed later this year by a full length album on Matador.
Amazing Grease, meanwhile, is busy with some upcoming releases including the debut album by Carlos (out this Friday—stay tuned for a review) and one by The Moore Brothers due at the end of the month. | Amazing Grease Records | | Matador Records | | top of page |
