Narada records releases next month in the US the Tibetan benefit album Mantra Mix featuring tracks by an all-star collection of musicians including Peter Gabriel, Leftfield, (The London) Suede, R.E.M., Massive Attack, Moby, The Chemical Brothers, Fatboy Slim, Ben Harper, Propellerheads, and others.
Proceeds from album sales go the Foundation For The Preservation Of The Mahayana Tradition (FPMT), founded for the Dalai Lama in 1978 (then known as the Council For The Preservation Of The Mahayana Tradition) to assist the Tibetan refugee community and to help perpetuate its customs and vision.
The Mantra Mix release includes a bonus enhanced CD with tracks by Philip Glass, Chris Hinze & Junkie XL, Tenzing Tsewang, Kissing The Pink, Ronin, Jeremy Allom/Hatman, Vas, and the Namgyal Monks, along with a video of his holiness the Dalai Lama leading a Tibetan prayer.
Mantra Mix is due in North American stores 24 October. | Mantra Mix | | FPMT | | top of page |
