Bluetip release third album, head to Japan

DC high-energy guitar rockers Bluetip are back with their third album Polymer, released last week in Europe and today in North America. They’re closing out a US tour this week with shows in Pittsburgh tonight, Cleveland on Wednesday, and Chicago on Thursday. On Monday they leave for Japan for a 12 date jaunt starting at the Starclub in Koube on 4 October. They’ll be back in the USA on 19 October for some east coast/midwest dates.
    Singer/guitarist Jason Farrel and guitarist Dave Stern started Bluetip five years ago upon leaving Swiz. The two also formed Sweetbelly Freakdown, who released an album in 1997.
    Bluetip’s new 10 track set on Dischord includes Polymer, New Young Residents, New Shoe Premonition, Stereo Tinnitus, Getting In, Magnetified, Astigmatic, Don’t Punch Your Friend (For Being Slow), Anti-Bloom, and Broke The Lease.
