Schema are a new collaboration between Seattle instrumental avant-gardists Hovercraft (who once toured with Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder on drums) and London based Stereolab guitarist/synth player/singer Mary Hansen on vocals. They release their self produced, self titled debut LP on 3 October on indie label 5 Rue Christine in the US (to be available as an import elsewhere).
Seattle label Kill Rock Stars has posted a free, full length MP3 (MPEG I layer 3) format music file of the Schema album track We Think We Were Sane (check our link).
Schema comprise Hansen on vocals, keyboards, and synthetic drums; Campbell 2000 (aka Ryan) on guitar and miscellaneous electrical devices; Sadie 7 (aka founder Beth Liebling) on bass and organ; and dash 11 on drums. They recorded and mixed Schema last year in Seattle.
