According to an announcement yesterday on concert Web site Pollstar, Neil Young’s 14th annual Bridge School benefit concert will include appearances by the reunited Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young; The Red Hot Chili Peppers; Foo Fighters; Beck; Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers; The Dave Matthews Band, and Tegan & Sarah. The US$38/$48 event takes place 28-29 October at its traditional venue, the Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View south of San Francisco.
Proceeds from the charity concert support the Bridge School, “...an educational program dedicated to ensuring that children with severe speech and physical impairments achieve full participation in their communities through the use of augmentative & alternative means of communication (AAC) and assistive technology (AT) applications.”
According to the venue box office, none of the artists is yet confirmed except for Neil Young.
The event always sells out. Tickets for the 14th annual benefit go on sale at 10 am PDT on Sunday 24 September. Last year’s concerts were Webcast—we’ll let you know about Internet plans for this year as soon as we hear about ’em. | Pollstar story | | The Bridge School | | Tickets available 24 September | | top of page |
