Philadelphia Orchestra benefit for homeless shelter 14 September 2000 Rena Rowan, co-founder of the Jones Apparel Group (Jones New York, Polo Jeans Company, Nine West) established her Foundation For The Homeless five years ago. Its first project was Rowan House, which provides free shelter for homeless women and children for up to two years and offers job training, transportation, health care, and child care. The Foundations next project, targeted for this fall, will be a permanent low cost housing project in Philadelphia. You can donate to the Foundation by calling +1 (215) 985-9989 or by sending a check to Rena Rowan Foundation for the Homeless Inc., 210 W. Rittenhouse Square Suite 1102, Philadelphia PA 19103, USA. The Foundation shares a building with Philadelphias Peoples Emergency Center, which provides shelter, services, education, and job training for the citys homeless.
