Calexico and The Kingsbury Manx conquer Europe

City Slang records label mates Calexico and The Kingsbury Manx continue their European trek this weekend, winning fans and praise, touring through the 24th with a closer at London’s Shepherds Bush Empire.
    Arizona’s desert fried Calexico (John Covertino and Joey Burns from Giant Sand along with members of OP8 and The Friends Of Dean Martinez) are supporting their latest album The Hot Rail, while North Carolina minimalist acoustic quartet The Kingsbury Manx are riding a wave of enthusiasm over their self-titled debut—released just this month in Europe although it’s been out since January in the US.
    City Slang tells us that almost every show down Europe way is selling out. Catch them if you can
