Palo Alto, California based music site Riffage.com will present two shows this weekend Webcast live from The Great American Music Hall during the CMJ ChangeMusic San Francisco festival.
On Friday (15 September) starting at 9 pm PDT (5 am BST Saturday morning) you can catch Imperial Teen, The Aislers Set, and Gardener. Then on Saturday starting at 10 pm PDT (6 am BST Sunday morning) they’ll present neo surfers Man Or Astroman? plus New York retro rockers Mooney Suzuki. Both shows will be archived for access on demand.
The ChangeMusic San Francisco festival is the last of three such events this year and packs more than 100 performances into a weekend along with a music technology conference. The advance registration deadline has passed but you can still get schedule and other info from the festival site.
Amy Linton’s minimalist pop project The Aislers Set (sometimes including Wyatt Cusick on guitar/vocals, Alicia VandenHevvel on bass, Jen Cohen on keyboards, and Yoshi Nakamoto on drums) will guest DJ on KUSF 90.3 FM Friday (the day of their GAMH show) from 2:30 to 3:30 pm PDT. The station has a Web feed available via RealAudio if you don’t happen to live near San Francisco. After ChangeMusic The Aislers play a few more Cali shows this fall before starting a November/December west coast US tour with Bratmobile.
Man Or Astroman? released their new album A Spectrum Of Infinite Scale last week in the US. On their current US tour (running through 24 September) they’re offering a show-only CD titled A Spectrum Of Finite Scale. | Webcasts | | Imperial Teen | | The Aislers Set | | Man Or Astroman? | | top of page |
