31 October 2000

Chicago lovely-pop innovators The Aluminum Group released their new ten track studio album Pelo today. It’s their fourth, and their first on Hefty Records. You can find their first three albums on Minty Fresh.
The band—at its core brothers Frank and John Nevin along with guitarist John Ridenour—this time ’round includes John Herndon (Tortoise), members of Isotope 217, and Sally Timms (The Mekons). Timms also sang on the Aluminum Group’s 1999 release Pedals.
The Aluminum Group play a one-off show at Chicago’s Park West on 8 November along with The Sea And Cake and Trans Am. | Hefty Records | | The Aluminum Group on Minty Fresh Records | | bio | | discography | | sample from Pedals | | CD | | top of page |
