Air working on new studio album for spring

French electronica duo Air are working in Los Angeles and Paris on their second album per se, slated for release in spring 2001. The not yet titled set follows their 1998 debut Moon Safari, an assortment of remix/collection discs, and this year’s soundtrack to The Virgin Suicides.
Collaborators on the upcoming album include iconoclastic California rocker Beck (Beck Hansen) and members of Japanese experimentalists Buffalo Daughter.
The Mike Mills hour-long documentary Eating Sleeping Waiting And Playing, chronicling Air’s 1998 US/European tour, came out on DVD this past winter.
