VH1 series Rotten Television, hosted and co-produced by none other than John Lydon aka Johnny Rotten (ex Sex Pistols, Public Image Limited), airs its third episode this Friday at 11:30 pm in most US markets. The theme is the impending presidential election face off between George W. Bush and Al Gore (with the Green Party’s Ralph Nader threatening to make a difference).
Lydon interviews former US representative Newt Gingrich, actor and Dem delegate Billy Baldwin, Minnesota governor Jesse Ventura, Representative John Kasich, and many other public personalities for the half hour show.
The London born commentator says of Gingrich “...well read, clever, devious. But bear this in mind: politicians have to be devious. It is their nature. You don’t want a simpleton half-wit running anything at all.”
Lydon hosts a weekly radio show on Infotainment site eYada, Saturdays starting 4 pm New York time (9 pm London time). The Sex Pistols documentary The Filth And The Fury came out on DVD two weeks ago. | Rotten Television | | Rotten Radio | | John Lydon | | The Filth And The Fury video | | top of page |
