Mr. Laurence to host weekly children’s radio show
20 October 2000
Ann Arbor musician Laurence Bond Miller, aka Mr. Laurence—who played 20 years ago in the legendary experimental punk band Destroy All Monsters—co-hosts a monthly radio show for kids starting 27 October on University of Michigan student station WCBN-FM. If you’re not in Ann Arbor, you (or you children) can tune in using RealAudio on the Internet.
The show will feature vintage children’s records from the ’40s and ’50s, along with an occasional live song by Mr. Laurence himself.
Mr. Laurence’s most recent release is Tugboat Tow, out on his own FarFetched Records label. It follows last year’s Flaghorn. You can hear samples of Flaghorn on our interview page, and can order either disc directly from the label at US$14 each (make checks out to Laurence Miller)
