Jason Martin’s Irvine, California based dozy-pop project Starflyer 59, currently a trio with bassist Jeff Cloud and drummer Wayne Everett, release a two-CD rarities/live box set titled Easy Come, Easy Go on 5 December on Tooth & Nail. The set spans the band’s seven year career and features a thick, color booklet and special packaging.
SF59 have finished recording their next studio album with producer/musician Terry Scott Taylor (front man for Daniel Amos), titled Leave Here A Stranger. The label says it’s due sometime next year. Tracks are All My Friends Who Play Guitar—Can You Play Drums?, When I Learn To Sing, Give Up The War, Things Like This Help Me, This I Don’t Need, I Like Your Photographs, Moves On, Night Music, and Your Company.
SF59 are in the midst of a brief, mostly west coast US tour with remaining dates in Kansas City, MO (11 Nov), Santa Ana, CA (16th), and Fresno, CA (18th). | Starflyer 59 (under construction) | | Tooth and Nail | | bio | | discography | | sample from Fell In Love At 22 (EP) | | top of page |
