Rainer Maria ready third album for January

Connecticut (by way of Madison, Wisconsin) based edgy/romantic guitar band Rainer Maria (named after German poet Rainer Maria Rilke) have been working on their third album for the past year, splitting time between a cow barn-turned-practice space and Madison’s Smart Studios (co-owned by Butch Vig of Garbage). The new set, produced with Mark Haines, will be titled A Better Version Of Me. Polyvinyl Records expects to release it in the US on 30 January.
    The very dedicated trio of Caithlin De Marrais (vocals and bass), Kyle Fischer (guitar), and William Kuehn (drums) are accustomed to investing time in an album. Last year’s Look Now Look Again took 18 months to complete, and earned the band critical praise from publications ranging from Magnet to The New York Times.
    Rainer Maria continue their current US tour tonight at Emo’s in Austin. Here are the remaining dates
