The Fall release new studio LP, prepare for UK tour
6 November 2000

Veteran pop outsider Mark E. Smith’s band The Fall released a new studio album today in the UK and Europe, the 15 track The Unutterable. It’s the band’s 35th or so LP—and probably their 35th or so lineup. Players this time include Tom Head (drums), Adam Helal (bass), Julia Nagle (keyboards), Mark E. Smith (vocals, songs), and Neville Wilding (guitar). Helal and Wilding also played on 1999’s The Marshall Suite.
On the new album Helal, Wilding, Nagle, and even producer Grant Showbiz (Frank Chickens, Billy Bragg, The Smiths) contribute songs. Showbiz recorded and mixed The Unutterable with The Fall in Manchester and Tottenham. If you don’t live where the album is currently available, you can order it directly from Amazon UK—check our link.
To support The Unutterable the band hit the road 21 November for a ten date trek through England and Scotland. Here are the dates
