TRS-80 to play first all-electronic set
17 November 2000
image
Chicago drum & synths trio TRS-80 (Jay Rajeck on drums, Deb Schimmel and Kent Rayhill on keyboards and samples) play their first ever gig without live drums this Monday 20 November at local venue Danny’s, starting at midnight. Kent tells us “...it should be interesting... We will be performing a brand new remix set that will include a few new songs as well.”
TRS-80 released their second album in July on Invisible Records, The Manhattan Love Machine. And they have a previously unreleased track on Invisible’s September various-artists release Dr. Speedlove Presents Chemical Warfare Volume 2, titled Bamboo Shoots Battle. Other artists on that album include Coldcut, Meg Lee Chin, The Damage Manual, The Orb, Spear Of Destiny, Alec Empire, Sheep On Drugs, Pigface, Chris & Cosey, Attrition, and others—on most tracks one band gets remixed by another. | TRS-80 | | samples & songs | | Invisible Records | | Dr. Speedlove CD | | discography | | sample from The Manhattan Love Machine | | top of page |
