Death In Vegas to record gay porn soundtrack
9 May 2000

Richard Fearless of UK noise/dub duo Death In Vegas is working to follow up last year’s breakthrough LP The Contino Sessions with a series of projects including music for a Royal Shakespeare Company production, a soundtrack to a gay porn film rumored to be from 36 year old director David Fincher (Fight Club), and a new studio album to be recorded partly in India.
He also hopes to release a single recorded last September with Primal Scream’s Bobby Gillespie (another song with vocals by Gillespie appears on The Contino Sessions). Fearless told nme.com “Everything we’ve ever done is soulful, but this [new single] is definitely northern soul... We want to release it before we do another album, just to throw people off.”
On the new album project, Fearless told nme.com “It’s all pretty hush-hush at the moment. We haven’t laid anything down yet. It’s all still ideas. I want to record half of it here and half in India.”
    A spokesperson commented “He’s a workaholic.” | NME story | | DIV photo album | | bio | | discography | | sample | | top of page |
