Calexico release third album 8 May 2000 Tuscon based, Giant Sand multi-instrumentalists Joey Burns and John Convertino release their third album as Calexico this week. Titled Hot Rail, the set delivers more of the genre blending—mariachi, Erik Satie, and Stereolab come to mind—that is Calexico’s trademark.
