San Francisco area underground pop masters The Aislers Set recently finished mixing their eagerly anticipated second album The Last Match. It’s set for general release on 12 June—but the band will sell copies on their US tour starting 14 May at Gabe’s Oasis in Iowa City. For a week starting 30 May in Nashville the band play with Sleater-Kinney. They’ll finish up with a record release party at Café Du Nord in San Francisco playing with Aden, True Love Always, and Aislers Set keyboards player Jen Cohen’s other band The Fairways.
The Last Match’s fourteen tracks include a cover of Balloon Song by The 14 Iced Bears. The Slumberland Records site has RealAudio previews of new songs The Way To Market Station and One Half Laughing.
