New Sleater-Kinney video on Web

Kill Rock Stars has posted the very new video You’re No Rock N’ Roll Fun by Olympia, Washington female punk trio Sleater-Kinney. The band shot it in New York city this February with director Brett Vapnek (she’s done videos for Cat Power and for Mary Timony).
S-K’s Carrie Brownstein wrote “What I like most about the video is that it captures the absurdity of video making. It is hard to take yourself seriously when you’re singing into a camera; it is very removed from the actual process of songwriting or live performance. I would rather acknowledge this difference than pretend that it doesn’t exist. I think the video also illustrates the fun that the three of us have in this band. If you look closely, you can see Neve Campbell in the background of one of the shots.”
